Would 3D V-Cache Help Intel CPUs? 14th-gen Cores vs. Cache

    <p>"Why doesn't Intel develop their own kind of 3D V-Cache?" It's a thought-provoking question, especially given how beneficial 3D V-Cache has been for AMD Ryzen chips. <a href="https://www.techspot.com/review/2845-intel-3d-vcache/">Let's benchmark</a> and check that out.</p> <p><a...

6 Cores vs. 16 Cores: How Well Have Ryzen 5 CPUs Aged?

<p>AMD's Ryzen 5 5600 was always competitively priced and presented excellent value for gamers. However, it's a good time to pose the question: how well has it aged, and <a href="https://www.techspot.com/review/2846-amd-ryzen-aged-cores/">should you have bought</a> an 8-core or even 16-core CPU...

"CPUs Don't Matter For 4K Gaming"... Wrong!

Unfortunately you've missed the point of the content. The point is the "CPUs Don't Matter For 4K Gaming" argument is wrong, not just because CPUs can make a difference at 4K, but MORE because it's the wrong way of looking at CPU performance. Rather it's about how many fps your CPU can drive at...

"CPUs Don't Matter For 4K Gaming"... Wrong!

Almost all games are primary thread limited, it's been this way forever. I think it's a 33% increase (25% fewer), generally we see around a 10% improvement, but of course it does depend on the game. The point here being relative to the 7800X3D it makes bugger all difference. Not everyone plays...

"CPUs Don't Matter For 4K Gaming"... Wrong!

<p>Something we hear a lot is that CPU performance doesn't matter for 4K gaming. Without proper context, CPU benchmark data can be misinterpreted. Let us explain to you <a href="https://www.techspot.com/article/2837-cpu-performance-4k-gaming/">what's what with some hard data</a>.</p> <p><a...

Intel CPUs Are Crashing and It's Intel's Fault: Intel Baseline Profile Benchmark

<p>For years, we have highlighted Intel's loosely defined CPU power specs and the problems they pose for customers. <a href="https://www.techspot.com/review/2836-intel-cpu-crash-baseline-spec/">The issue now</a> is that some 13th and 14th-gen processors have started crashing.</p> <p><a...

<p>The GeForce GTX 1080 Ti is <a href="https://www.techspot.com/review/2833-geforce-gtx-1080-ti-revisit/">widely regarded as the GOAT</a>. The 7-year-old GPU marks the last time a flagship gaming GPU was offered at a reasonable price, that plus its exceptional longevity.</p> <p><a...

    Ryzen 7 5800X3D vs. Ryzen 7 7800X3D, Ryzen 9 7900X3D and 7950X3D

<p>As we've known for some time, the 5800X3D remains a strong gaming CPU that's roughly equivalent to the new Ryzen 7 7700X. But still, here's a broader <a href="https://www.techspot.com/review/2829-amd-ryzen-5800x3d-7800x3d-7900x3d-7950x3d/">comparison for new builders and upgraders</a>.</p>...

New Affordable AMD B650 Motherboard Roundup

No worries, from the article... "The rest, though, there isn't much more that needs to be said; they're all bad. If the Gigabyte B650M D3HP, for example, was $80, we might go a bit easier on it, but sadly none of these boards are particularly cheap. They cost as much or more than the Asrock...

New Affordable AMD B650 Motherboard Roundup

Of course that's not the expectation. The point is and I really can't make this any clearer than I already have, for the same money you can get boards that will easily run 200 watt CPUs, so spending the same money on 90-120 watt limit boards is silly and the products themselves need not exist...

New Affordable AMD B650 Motherboard Roundup

Thanks mate. So with this testing you have the maximum sustained package power for each motherboard so you can easily work out what is the most powerful CPU each board can handle. Naturally if you use a low-end CPU they will work, but that's not really the point for a few key reasons discussed...
